Nanne M. Finis, RN, MS, is the chief nurse executive for UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), a global provider of HCM, payroll, HR service delivery, and workforce management solutions. At UKG, Finis applies her strong foundational knowledge of the global healthcare system to advance the application of innovative technology to create more meaningful and connected work experiences for all healthcare employees. A forty-year industry executive consistently focused on nursing and patient care delivery, Finis is passionate about building and leading a culture of innovation and collaboration across clinical, operational, and administrative environments, and has committed her career to driving improvements in the healthcare system.
Since joining UKG, Finis has expanded the company’s influence and impact within the healthcare industry through inspired initiatives. Most recently, Finis established the UKG Chief Nurse Executive Advisory Board, a group of recognized leaders from healthcare organizations across the continuum of care, whose ideas, insights, and feedback help shape the future of UKG strategies and solutions. She also launched a bimonthly speaker series in which healthcare leaders share their perspective on industry issues and challenges with UKG employees. Finis additionally serves on the advisory board of The Workforce Institute at UKG, a global think tank that empowers organizations with education, research, and practical ideas for optimizing the 21st century workplace.
Before joining UKG, Finis was nurse executive for TeleTracking Technologies, where she formed and led an advisory service optimizing patient flow processes and technology adoption at hospitals nationwide. Earlier in her career, Finis spent more than two decades at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in both clinical and progressive management roles. She then transitioned to Joint Commission Resources (JCR), the knowledge transfer subsidiary of The Joint Commission, where she designed and led the U.S. patient safety and quality consulting practice and operationalized the industry alliance strategy. Finis earned her master's degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana. She also spent five years in Tokyo, Japan, attending the International School of the Sacred Heart (ISSH). Currently, Finis serves on the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) Foundation Corporate Advisory Council and the Nursing Administration Scope and Standards Revision Workgroup sponsored by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and AONL.
