Nine UKG Ready Enhancements to Fall in Love with this February

Working in an office

Brad Nycz, UKG Ready® Executive Relationship Director and former customer, is back at it again! He’s chosen nine enhancements from our upcoming February release you are bound to fall in love with.

All To Do Items Report: Mass Approve/Reject
Joe is a system administrator at his organization — a chain retail store. A manager at one of the stores he works with unfortunately had to take a last-minute leave of absence, leaving Joe with an outstanding list of To Do Items from current employees that need to be approved or rejected. With this latest enhancement, Joe can easily Mass Approve or Reject outstanding To Do Items directly from the All To Do Items Report. This enhancement saves Joe a ton of time and frees up more time for Joe to work through temporarily replacing the manager and his other daily tasks.

Custom Forms: Mass Actions
Several of Joe’s stores are in the process of hiring a handful of employees after some turnover. He is also responsible for helping onboard these employees. During the onboarding process, employees are required to fill out a custom form detailing which days they are available to work as well as what size and color they would like their uniform to be. With this mass action enhancement, Joe can now assign this custom form to all new hires at once rather than having to assign the forms one by one.

Time-Off Actions
Tatiana works with Joe and is the scheduling manager for several of their retail locations. In a previous release, Tatiana was given the ability to see pending Time Off Requests in the Scheduler view. In this upcoming release, she’s excited to be able to take action on those pending requests. Tatiana can now approve, reject, and modify pending time-off requests in the Schedule view.

Schedule Display Updates
Tatiana is also excited for the updates to the Schedule display in this upcoming release. Unscheduled employees will no longer be hidden when schedules are grouped by cost center. This lets Tatiana see which employees in a specific cost center are available to be scheduled and when. When looking at this view, she can also see who is off and who has requested time off.

Incident Enhancements
Isiah is an HR admin and is responsible for tracking and overseeing the Incidents process at his organization. He is happy to learn that there have been several different enhancements to the Incidents functionality in the February release. He’ll soon be able to mass update or delete Incidents. This will help him keep track of and clean up some older Incidents in the system. He also loves that others in addition to him and the person submitting the Incident will be able to add notes to the incident report. Managers and other employees involved now will be able to comment on exactly what happened.

New Security Access for Account Contact
There are some contacts in his employee information Patrick feels his manager, Andy, shouldn’t have access to. While he understands that Andy may need to know who his emergency contact is if he gets injured at work, he doesn’t think Andy should be able to see who his beneficiaries or dependents are. There is no need for his manager to know that information. With the February release, Patrick won’t have to worry about that. He’s happy to see that new security measures are being put in place and there are now manager restrictions on which of Patrick’s contacts Andy is able to see.

Mass Update Position Permissions
Paige wants all the team leads at her organization to have the ability to approve or reject time off for their employees. However, there are many team leads in her organization, and she can’t find a quick and easy way to update position permissions at once. Paige decides to dig and see if she can find an easy way to do this, and she is happy to learn that the ability to mass update position permissions is an enhancement coming in the February release. Now she can easily ensure her team leads have the ability to approve or reject time-off requests.
