Three New Simplified Navigation Features to Spice Up Your UKG Ready Solution

Chai Latte

It’s officially fall here in the U.S. and fresh notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves are swirling in the air. These smells bring a new season of excitement, just like the October release where three new features were released that will make you feel warm inside as if you’re drinking that pumpkin spice latte. And to our friends in the Oceania region, while you may be in the middle of the summer months, there’s nothing like an iced chai latte to get you spiced up. In the release, we introduced three new hubs that offer simplified navigation for employees, managers, and administrators. This can be especially beneficial for new users learning to navigate the system by reducing the navigation pathway within the UKG Ready® menu.

Let’s explore these three new features and how they can benefit different types of users.

Compliance Hub

Staying organized and on top of compliance-related tasks can be complex and challenging at times. The new Compliance Hub offers a one-stop shop for all compliance-related functionality within your UKG Ready solution. Built for your HR practitioners, users can quickly access the compliance-related tasks they need to complete, such as Form I-9, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Equal Employee Opportunity (EEO) reporting, using simplified navigation. The Compliance Hub is broken down into multiple tabs, including the Main tab with common compliance-related functions, the ACA tab, the Leave tab, and the Worker’s Compensation tab. The Hub can be turned on in the Security Profile, and the content that appears in the Hub is based on your security access to each compliance function. You can access the Compliance Hub from the new menu pathway under Team > Hubs > Compliance. Learn more about configuring and using the Compliance Hub in the new Compliance Hub User Guide found in your Online Documentation under My Info > Help > Online Documentation.

Forms Hub

The UKG Ready solution offers a wide variety of forms that employees, managers, and administrators use daily to capture important information. This includes compliance-related forms, relevant employee information and data, and payroll-related data. To help simplify access to these forms, the new Forms Hub allows users to access them using a single entry point instead of navigating through the menu. The Forms Hub includes the forms available in the system with descriptions that explain why a specific form is needed or how it is used. Like the Compliance Hub, the Forms Hub can be turned on using a Security Profile setting, and the forms available are based on user security settings.

While the Compliance Hub only has a single access from the menu, the Forms Hub can be accessed from the My Info and Team tab for their different uses. Both paths will include the Available Forms tab and organize those forms into leave, HR, and payroll forms. The forms appearing will be different based on the path used to access the Hub. When accessing as an employee under My Info, the tabs will appear as Available Forms and All My Forms. This allows your employees to complete any forms available based on your Employee Self-Service (ESS) security settings. Additionally, the All My Forms tab will show any forms open or submitted. When accessing the Hub as a manager or administrator under the Team tab, you can manage forms submitted by your employees. Access is based on the Manager Self-Service (MSS) security settings. For more information, review the Forms Hub User Guide under the Online Documentation.

Employee Home

The new Employee Home feature provides employees with a mobile landing experience that is optimized to stay on top of common and pertinent tasks. It can be turned on within your Dashboard Layout Profiles and will help with completing tasks more quickly and efficiently. Employee Home can be accessed from My Info > My Information > Employee Home if no Dashboard Layout profile is assigned, or it can be set as the First Screen setting.

Employees can experience new banners that provide contextual reminders for common processes such as Open Enrollment, New Hire Enrollment, and Performance Reviews. Employees will also see new widget designs that combine several everyday tasks tailored to improve the employee experience. While many widgets will feel familiar based on the current dashboard like the Clock widget, there are a few new ones, including My Profile Summary, Make a Request, and Update My Info as well as enhanced Timesheet, Time Off, Pay, and Schedule widgets. The Employee Home is an excellent tool for your on-the-go employees! Learn more about this functionality in the Employee Home User Guide found in your Online Documentation.
