Did you know that your UKG Ready® solution goes through six releases each year? Well, it’s true and they happen every six to eight weeks! Each release brings a plethora of new feature enhancements to boost your system and improve your user experience. Preparing for a release is an important time, which is why we have several resources to guide you through the process.
Release Resources
Release Notes
Now, I’m sure you’re probably all familiar with our Release Notes. They’re published around 1-2 weeks prior to the release and are an essential resource when it comes to release readiness. Broken down by module, Release Notes go into detail about everything being enhanced during the upcoming release. You can access Release Notes through your UKG Ready solution from either Download Documentation or Online Documentation:
- Download Documentation: My Info > Help > Download Documentation
- Online Documentation: My Info > Help > Online Documentation
What’s the difference between the two? Through Download Documentation you can access the Release Notes up to two weeks before the release. Online Documentation gives you access to the Release Notes starting on the day of the release.
Release Highlights
Our Release Highlights are a relatively new resource that we began curating in 2021. The highlights cover a handful of important feature enhancements happening in the release where we’ll dive into:
- What the feature enhancement is
- Why this enhancement is valuable
- If the enhancement is delivered on or off (do you need to activate it somewhere in your configuration)
- If the enhancement came from a Customer Idea via the UKG Community™
Our Release Highlights are also interactive, allowing you to read the document all the way through or jump from section to section!
Release Spotlight Videos
Release spotlight videos are exactly what they sound like – a spotlight on what hot features you can expect in the coming release. These videos are broken down into three different topics:
- Cross Suite Enhancements
- Workforce Management Enhancements
- HR and Payroll Enhancements
They contain either a quick clip of the feature enhancement or a screenshot that shows what the enhancement will look like in your solution after the release.
Release Blog
The release blog is published right here on the Working Smarter Café! With the help of Brad Nycz, Director of Executive Relationship Management, we highlight the most valuable enhancements for our customers. Unlike some of our other resources, this blog takes you through how best to utilize the enhancement in your day-to-day experiences. And, as a former customer himself, Brad brings a unique perspective to the enhancement details he shares.

UKG Ready Release Readiness Page
The Release Readiness Page on the UKG Community is your place to go outside of your solution for all things UKG Ready releases. On this page, you’ll find many things to help you prepare for the release, including the upcoming release dates for the next two releases. It’s important to note that these release dates are tentative and subject to change. You’ll also find links to all release essentials that include Release Highlights and spotlight videos as well as the pathway to access Release Notes. The release readiness page is updated two weeks before the first U.S. Direct POD release (POD4) so keep an eye out!
In Product: readyConnect Panel or Pop-Up Communicator
Depending on the POD you’re currently on, you’ll also be able to access release resources through our in-product tools. Those in the EU POD and POD2 will receive in product release communication through a Pop-Up Communicator. Those in the AUS POD as well as PODs 3, 4, and 6 will receive in-product release communications through the readyConnect panel. Each in-product communication will provide links to the release resources available as well as the date and time the release will take place.
