Moore was with a friend and her two daughters as part of a group when their boat overturned in the Dimple Rock rapids around 3:30 p.m last Saturday, resulting in all four being thrown into the water, authorities said.
Moore was found underwater and taken to Uniontown Hospital, but resuscitation efforts were not successful, the coroner’s office said.
Moore’s death has been ruled the result of an accidental drowning, the coroner’s office said. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Moore’s survivors include her two daughters Eve and Phoebe Moore, as well as her mother, Kathleen Stranyak, and three brothers, Greg, Christopher and Philip Stranyak. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Molnar Funeral Homes chapel in Brownstown, southeast Michigan, where a funeral service is set for Saturday.
